Sir Knight Leroy Brown, well-known to the Bolingbrook community and long-time member of St Francis of Assisi, recently passed away. Leroy was a Vietnam veteran, having served as a Green Beret, and had a long record of service to the community. Please come out and pay your respects. Details of his wake and funeral follow.
Thursday’s Wake:
- Sir Knights Arrive by 12:00PM.
- Class room 1 and 2 for KofC.
- DO NOT remove the chairs for any reason! The chairs are for the Knights only.
- Knights needed to provide an Honor Guard for the Casket entering the church by 1PM.
- Posting Guards every 8-10 minutes.
- Casket closing at 6PM Military and Knights ceremony proceedings.
- Priest Prayer service at 6:30.
- Requiem Holy bible presentation to the family.
- Honor Guard needed as the casket leave the church 8:30-9:00PM
Friday’s Funeral Mass:
- Knights arrive at 7:30AM.
- Class room 1 and 2 for KofC.
- DO NOT remove the chairs for any reason! The chairs are for the Knights only.
- Knights needed to provide an Honor Guard for the casket entering the church 8-8:30AM.
- Knights may have to stand during the Mass.
- Knights needed to provide an Honor Guard for the casket leaving the church.
- Knights will proceed to the Hillcrest cemetery to be in place for burial ceremony.
- Knights participating in the cemetery ceremony will be allowed to park in the fire station parking lot behind the station.
