Follow Up With Our Field Agent

Bob Strahanoski is a Knights of Columbus Field Agent with the White Agency serving brother Knights and their families in Joliet, Bolingbrook, and Oswego, Illinois. He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 2007 and became a Field Agent for the Order in early 2019.

When asked why he became a Field Agent, Bob said, “I became a Field Agent because it aligns my career with my Catholic values. I have the ability to support my family and to help other Catholic families in a meaningful way.”

Originally from Joliet, Illinois, Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

For over 25 years prior to becoming a Field Agent, Bob enjoyed a career in the transportation industry which included railroad, ocean shipping, and manufacturing operations. He worked with colleagues and customers ranging from Fortune 100 Corporations to small family businesses across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Bob is married and his wife Mary Lee is a registered nurse. Their two 13 year-old children, Bobby and Grace, were born in Guatemala and adopted as infants. Bobby is fifteen days older than Grace. Although they were not related at birth, they are brother and sister by God’s Plan. Grace was born in Guatemala City and Bobby was born in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.

The Strahanoski family are Parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet, where Bob is a Eucharistic Minister, Mary Lee is a Lector, and Bobby and Grace are altar servers. Bobby and Grace are students in the Holy Family Church parish school. Mary Lee is involved as a school parent and Bob is a Eucharistic Minister. Bob has been a parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Church in Joliet for over 50 years.

Bob is a member of Rev. Gordon Michels Council # 12014 where he is Past Grand Knight, Past Trustee, and currently Vocations Raffle Chairman. He started as an Outside Guard and worked his way up the chairs to Grand Knight. He is also a Fourth-Degree member of Joliet Assembly #204.
