The 2023 ILLINOIS MARCH FOR LIFE will be held in Springfield on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Join us at the Capitol in Springfield for the Rally at 12 noon, followed by the March for Life which begins at 1 PM.
As Knights we will have the opportunity to send a strong message to Illinois legislators that the Knights of Columbus are committed to help rebuild a culture of LIFE in Illinois!
We know that our efforts to support pregnant women, at pregnancy centers, and mothers and their babies at maternity homes is making a difference and saving lives of the unborn. Our programs like the Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP), Ultrasound Initiative, Knights on Bridges for Life, and now the Illinois March for Life, all promote and support our efforts for the Respect for Life.
The Dobbs decision which overturned Roe, returned the decision making to the states and now 13 states legally protect preborn life, through total or near total abortion bans resulting in approximately 22,000 fewer abortions, in just the first 2 months following the decision.
On the other hand, in states like Illinois, where abortion remains legal, approximately 12,000 more abortions were performed because of pregnant women traveling here from states where abortion is banned. Illinois’ egregious laws are not only impacting Illinois but are harming women and families throughout the entire Midwest and the midterm election did little to dissuade the state’s pro-abortion zealots.
We have an opportunity to change that narrative and stand up for Life on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. While politics may fail us, prayer never will, and we must never give up, because God stands with us during our pro-life efforts.
